Her Job & Her Child

If you live in Delhi (India), there's no possibility that you won't like the capital city's winter. Delhi's winter is really fun because there's always a sunny day around the corner. I don't live in Delhi anymore & I miss it sometimes. It was one of those bright beautiful Sunday mornings when I decided to travel to Surajkund (about 24 KM from Central Delhi) for the first time, where they organize a fair every year. As soon as I reached there I was surprised by the spirit of the place & all the colors ( & that comes from an Indian girl :) ).

This small town was flooded with artisans & tourists. There were a lot of dance performances happening & the whole place was filled with traditionally dressed dancers from all over the country. I got an opportunity to click some really nice and happy shots & I did not notice how hours just passed by. I got a little tired so I decided to sit for sometime and have something to eat & then I saw her.
an indian woman with her & child
There was this hilly area with lots of rocks around, which people were using to sit & eat their takeaways. She was coming from the top, it was quiet high & with all those rocks it was difficult for her to carry the child & these colorful things she was selling (may be it was for home decor). I was waiting for her to come closer to me so that I could click her. She walked half the way down & suddenly she started moving back, she was called by this lady & she was hoping to sell her some of this stuff.

Well, the buyer lady turned out to be a really heartless person, to call her all the way up there and then without looking at her stuff just deny her. It made me sad and it surely made her angry. Now she was close enough for me to capture her.

Among all the proud mothers I have ever clicked she is my favorite mother.
