This year India celebrates her 68th year of freedom, its not only a big for Indians but also worldwide for those who believe in non-violence & peace. India's freedom was lead by these two weapons and that is what I like most about this day. This year, my tricolor flag is inspired by Gandhi's quote “To call woman the weaker sex is a libel; it is man's injustice to woman. If by strength is meant brute strength, then, indeed, is woman less brute than man. If by strength is meant moral power, then woman is immeasurably man's superior. Has she not greater intuition, is she not more self-sacrificing, has she not greater powers of endurance, has she not greater courage? Without her, man could not be. If nonviolence is the law of our being, the future is with woman. Who can make a more effective appeal to the heart than woman?" In recent years women of India have been struggling and fighting a lot to achieve the gender equality that the constitution of the biggest democracy has given to us in words, but now we see hope in action. This is our time now; we act, we lead and we accomplish.
A very happy Independence day to all of you.
