During festivals, Indians love to decorate their homes with flowers. On any given festival it is very common site in flower markets when buyers & sellers are busy negotiating & trading flowers.
On one of such busy days I was visiting a market in Bangalore when this lady caught my eye, her dedication for her work was inspiring. It didn't take me long to notice the drunk husband, he was just sitting there may be sleeping in between but every once in while he was awake & asking her to hand over the money.
In a sexist society like India where farms, small businesses & stores are mostly own by men & female members of the family end-up working for them, I have seen many women working hard & make a living when their husbands or fathers are busy ordering & collecting money.
Despite the sense of unfairness & powerlessness I admire these women, they are professionals, good providers & most of the time pass on their knowledge & skills to their kids.
